Ben turned 7 months old May 17th. (7 moths already?!) Everyone told me it goes by so fast, I guess I didn't understand just how fast, and how utterly heartbreaking it can be, until I had my own child! I feel like I'm never going to remember what he was like, so I take WAY too many pictures.
He's so much FUN! He's a happy little baby, and boy-is he little! At 7 months old, he's finally doubled his birth weight, and now weighs 18 lbs.
He cut tooth number 2 this month, so now has the oh-so-adorable teeth pair on the bottom he shows off often in his darling smile.
His laughs are coming more easily, he'd always make us work for those few precious chuckles, but now he's laughing so much more. :) Although poor video quality (taken on my iPhone), this is an example of a time Ben surprised us with his laughter. A toy he'd played with 100 times before, but this time, it really struck him as funny!
Ben has discovered mobility! It's awkward and looks like it's a lot of work, but it gets him to where he wants to go, so we have a happy boy because of it.
Ben loves to be outside, and as the weather is changing, we've had a lot of opportunities to enjoy the nice weather. Ben loves to go to the park and take a ride in the stroller, especially if we bring his noisy puppies along for entertainment. Ben loves his pets. He's getting better at interacting with them. Myla, the beagle, wisely keeps her distance, but Shooter will come and lay right next to him and let him crawl all over him and chew on his ears. What a good dog!
Best Friends :)
Oh, the fun we have.... I have no caption for this. We are, apparently, not very creative when it comes to entertaining ourselves.

Ben was able to experience a public pool for the first time. He was unsure at first, but a little girl (maybe 1.5 years old?) came up and started talking and smiling at him, and he started grinning back and splashing and was just happy and excited for the rest of the time we were there. He tolerated me taking him into the "deep end" and holding him out to float. He was all smiles the whole time. His friend Lexie came too! :)
"lemme in the water mama!!"
It was an activity that will definitely need to be repeated!

Ben had his first experience with golfing. My husband's parents were visiting for the week. Eric is an avid golfer, so I am a bit surprised Ben made it to 7 months without hitting the course with his daddy. Of course, he did have his own golf club and balls before he was born (oh-and a golf themed nursery:)
Ben rode with us in the cart for the full 18 holes, and never uttered a single squeak of protest. He loved it! So did we!
3 generations of Hanson golfers. Eric started golfing when he was 10 when his Dad, Dave, challenged Eric to make a difficult putt. He made it...and has been hooked ever since. :)
We ended the day with some (uneventful) fishing. It was a fun day!

Here are some of mama's favorite random pictures from May:
Learning to grasp and feed himself rice-puffs.
This is Ben's favorite book, Dr. Seuss ABC's. He will sit perfectly still looking at the pictures while I read it, and I've also learned that even without the book in hand, if I recite the words, it will calm and interest him when he is unhappy, which believe it or not, does happen from time to time!
